4 more days to go...The Famine is almost here:

Here are a couple last minute details:
  • Breakfast: Students are encouraged to wake up & have a healthy breakfast between 7 am ~ 9 am Saturday morning, Feb. 22nd.
  • Service Projects:  IMPACT will meet at Hope Center at 11:00 am to begin their service project  that will take them out to pick up cans where the students have dropped off the flyers to their neighbors, then back to the church to count their haul for recycling (between 12 ~ 2 pm).
  • Activities: Between 2 pm ~ 5 pm they will play calm games in the generations room. When the High School group joins @ 5 pm they will be decorating 30 Hour famine t-shirts.
  • Bring For Saturday Night: Fundraising money, $10 for participating in 30 Hour Famine, Bible, notebook, pen, overnight bag, sleeping bag.    Saturday night they'll be time for worship, devotional/quiet time, more games, and possibly a movie to end the night before lights out.
  • In the morning: Students will be woken up and encouraged to be ready to attend church at 9 am with their parents.  Ian Longtin will be preaching this Sunday.  (REMINDER - no youth service the last Sunday of the month but there is Station 56 for the 6th graders).  Then at 1 pm we will have our "Break-the-fast" Celebration Feast.
DON'T FORGET to RSVP to the youthassistant@hopecenter.cc by this Wed., February 19th if you & your family will be joining us for our "Break-the-Fast" Celebration Feast on Sunday at 1 pm in the Generations Room.

Parents if you are interested in helping prepare the meal for the students please contact Ministry Team Leader for Lighthouse Katie Falgien at klfalgien@gmail.com as soon as possible, we'll provide the food we just need help preparing it on Sunday. Please pray for all the students this weekend.  Ask God to bless and transform us as we go hungry so others don't have to.
