Note to parents:  Wednesday, Dec. 19th is the Impact's Christmas party!  There will be a $10.00 white elephant gift exchange at this event!  So please remember to have your son/daughter bring a gift pre-wrapped.  Please add a $5 gift card

Parents we have a change on our Winter Calendar!

We are moving our viewing of the Hobbit from Friday, December 14^th to Sunday, December 16^th.  We are leaving Hope Center at 10:15am after the Sunday morning youth service to the Pleasant Hill Movie Theater.   The movie is scheduled to begin at 10:45am and should get out at around 1:45pm.  Pick-up will be at Hope Center at around 2:15pm (more information on this to come).

The cost of the event is $15.00 and includes the movie and popcorn.  All students must be signed up and paid by Wednesday, December 12^th in order to go to the movie.  If you sign-up and pay early, by Wednesday, December 5^th the cost will by $12.00.

The winter calendar has been published!  We have a lot of exciting, fun, holiday related events coming up.  Steve and I want to share with your our vision towards all of these events.  When you look at the calendar it screams FUN! FUN! FUN!  to your youth.  All this fun is important.  It builds a relationship of trust between your son/daughter and their youth leader, allowing conversations to open up so that God’s love and truth can be spoken into their lives through this unique youth leader/student relationship.

Please follow the blog as the calendar is published before the events.  Some details will change as each event is fully planned.  There will be flyers given to the students and on the Impact kiosk in the Generations Room at Hope Center for these events as the dates draw nearer.

IMPACT HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL

Come one!  Come all!  6th, 7th, & 8th graders tomorrow night come to Impact dressed in your Halloween costume!  Bring your friends, it is sure to be a night of FUN! FUN! FUN!  I know that you will not be disappointed, unless you forget to put on your costume!

Impact students and parents, want to know what’s going on?



 Wednesday, October 24^th is Impact’s 2^nd annual Harvest Carnival, complete with carnival games, prizes, and a mini pumpkin carving contest.  It will be in the Generations room at Hope Center from 7pm to 8:30pm. 

Then join us on Halloween to serve our community at Hope Center’s annual Harvest Carnival from 6pm to 8pm at the Impact booth.  Questions email Steve Shreve @ srshreve@comcast.net

Parents take a look at what we are talking about on Wednesday nights in small group with your son/daughter! Students have their own copy of this book to write in and use at Impact on Wednesday nights. Each week we will be taking a look at a book of the bible in chronological order and discovering God's unique plan for our lives by looking at the lives of those in God’s word and His interaction with His people.

Next week 10/10:  We will be looking at the book of Numbers & how God relates to his people who have living in the desert for 30 years.

 

Q-zar Sleepover

You don't want to miss it!  This Friday Night (September 30th), we are going Q-zar for an awesome game of lasor tag and then heading back to Hope Center for a sleepover.  We'll meet at Hope Center at 7pm for a pizza dinner.  The cost is $30.  There is still time to go, contact Steve Shreve hopecenterimpact@gmail.com

NEW fall IMPACT calender!

Dear Parents of Impact Students,

                The school year is beginning and fall is approaching, click here to view our calender! The Impact staff is so excited for what’s to come for Impact in this next season and our main goal is to get your students connected with one another and get them involved in a Christ centered community. We meet Sunday mornings from 9-10:15 and Wednesday evenings in the Generations Room from 7-8:30pm. Another great way of getting your student involved is by signing them up for The Journey, which is a two year in depth study of the New and Old Testament. This is for seventh and eighth graders only and is held at the Shreve’s house on Thursday nights.

                Where Would Jesus Camp (wwjc) is this week and we are looking forward to having a great time! Sign ups end on 8/8/12. If your students missed out on the opportunity to attend we have plenty more for them to get excited about for the rest of the season and we’ve also got some important dates for you. 

August 10^th-12^th: Where Would Jesus Camp, Annual Impact Camping Trip

August 22^nd: Impact Kick Off Night @ Hope Center

September 12^th: Parent Meeting at 7pm.

September 28^th: Q-zar/sleepover

                The Parent Meeting on September 12^th will begin once you drop off your student at Impact and it will be held in the generation’s wing.  Please mark your calendars as it will be a great way to meet the Impact staff and hear about all the awesome events we’ve got planned for the school year. It will also be a great opportunity to express any questions or concerns you may have, as well as having the opportunity to fill out your Year Long Permission Slip if you have not yet done so. We hope to see you there!

• Pancake Sunday - first Sunday of the month every month. Invite a friend to the feast!
• Wednesday small groups from 7:00pm-8:30pm, normally in the Generations Room. Check the summer calendar for a couple weeks at Hidden Lakes and a Pool Party!
